In preparation for the session “Sex and Gender in Sports Policy: a human rights perspective”, CSHR hosted a pre-recorded event with its Board Director, Dr. Payoshni Mitra, that brings interventions from three female athletes with variations in sex characteristics – Annet Negesa, former middle-distance runner, from Uganda; Aminatou Seyni, who ran in the 200-meter category in the Olympics in Tokyo; and Holali Ativor, a footballer from Ghana. They share about their experiences in sport and talk about the implications of sports regulations to their personal and professional lives, and the lives of other women and girls in the Global South.
